This book is written by elementary general music teachers for elementary general music teachers. There are 50+ lessons for PreK-Grade 6 that let general music teachers enhance their current curriculum with technology. This book can be used by music teachers with limited or unlimited resources. In addition, many of the classroom materials, like audio files, powerpoints, notation files, and pdf files can be accessed and downloaded from the following TI:ME website: http://www.ti-me.org/TIEMC/.

COMING SOON:

  • A book of lesson plans that utilize Sibelius’s Groovy Music Shapes and Jungle. The Shapes lessons use one computer connected to a screen, TV, or Smart Board (or any interactive white board) and can be used with grades K-2. The Jungle lessons can be used with one computer or a computer lab for students in grades 2-5. Richard McCready authored the Groovy City portion of the book which can be used with students in grades 5-8. There will also be a section that involves lessons utilizing Sibelius Student written by Dr. Sandi MacLeod and a section of lessons that show connections with other subjects.
  • A book of lesson plans that involve a keyboard lab in the elementary (k-5) music classroom. This book will be published by SoundTree and is slated to be out later this year.
